At Cooke, our commitment to the communities where we operate goes beyond carefully cultivating the oceans. We also strive to contribute to the cultural life and development of the towns where we work.
That is why we are delighted to have once again participated in “El Pesaje de los Personajes”, one of the most emblematic traditions of the Águilas Carnival, a festival recognized as one of the most important in the Region of Murcia. This event not only celebrates the essence of our carnival but also highlights the dedication of local businesses to preserving such a deeply rooted tradition.
The “Pesaje de los Personajes” is a symbolic act in which the main figures of the Carnival—Don Carnal, Doña Cuaresma, the Muse, and the Mussona, both in their adult and children’s versions—are weighed and receive their weight in local products.

This year, Cooke España contributed five boxes of our finest sea bass and gilthead bream, premium seafood we cultivate with great care and responsibility.
A collective effort for a bigger Carnival
This event would not be possible without the collaboration of various organizations and businesses that, year after year, take part in this beloved tradition. We congratulate the Federación de Peñas de Carnaval de Águilas for their tireless work in ensuring that this celebration continues to grow and shine. We also extend our gratitude to Agrucapers for their collaboration and for providing their facilities for the event.

We would also like to acknowledge the contributions of all the participating companies and, of course, highlight the key figures of the Águilas Carnival. Their joy and dedication help keep the spirit of this incredible festival alive.
At Cooke España, we believe that our connection with the communities where we operate goes beyond just living and working there; it also means helping them grow. We are extremely proud to be part of this tradition and reaffirm our commitment to supporting initiatives like this in the future.
