At Cooke España, we believe in the importance of education and raising awareness about sustainability in aquaculture. Therefore, we had the pleasure of welcoming a group of students to our modern and new facilities.
On Tuesday, February 25th, our new factory opened its doors to two groups of young students eager to learn more about our sustainable work model. Specifically, 16-17-year-old students from Colegio San Francisco de Asís in Lorca, along with German students from Grüner Campus Malchow School in Berlin, who are part of the Erasmus program.
Learning about Aquaculture
During their visit, these students were guided by our team of professionals, including Victoria Blanquez, Rosa Raya, and Juan García, who provided a comprehensive explanation of what aquaculture is and how Cooke España contributes to the sustainable production of seafood.
Additionally, the students had the opportunity to tour our state-of-the-art facilities, discovering the processes that ensure the responsible production of sea bass, gilthead bream, and meagre—species we diligently cultivate in the Spanish Mediterranean.
This visit reinforces our philosophy of being a pillar in community and educational development, aligning with our vision as a responsible and sustainable company. At Cooke España, we not only produce high-quality fish but also strive to raise awareness about the positive impact aquaculture can have on global nutrition and the environment.
We thank these students and teachers for their visit, interest, and enthusiasm.
We look forward to continuing to share our commitment to education and sustainability in future visits!
